With two Fredericton clinic locations, Max Health Institute & Physiotherapy is home to a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals including Physiotherapists, Chiropractors, Massage Therapists, Athletic Therapists, Osteopaths, and an Occupational Therapist.
Max Health Fredericton therapies include Concussion Management, Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy, Orthopaedic/Sports Injuries, and Vestibular Rehabilitation.
Our team of diverse clinicians are focused on empowering our clients through an advanced multi-disciplinary approach to injury and rehabilitation. Through education and exercise prescription, our clients are encouraged to be active participants in their treatment plans. What should I bring with me to my appointment?
It is important to be prepared for your appointment. Here are some items that we recommend you bring with you:
–community face mask (must be worn prior to entering the clinic)
-private/group insurance policy card
-doctor’s referral (If you have been given one and it has not already been provided to our Administrative team. We will make a copy and give you back the original.)
-form of payment (We accept Debit, Visa, MasterCard, e-Tansfers, and Cash. We ask that you refrain from paying in cash during COVID-19 pandemic.)
-water bottle (We apologize that our water station is not available for client use during the COVID-19 pandemic.)
-indoor footwear
-comfortable clothing (Clothes that will allow access to your injury or the part of your body that is being treated.)
Will Medicare cover my appointments at Max Health Institute Fredericton?
No, our services are not covered under the Government of New Brunswick’s Medicare plan; however, our services are generally covered by most private/group insurance policies.
We do ask for your Medicare Card # on our health intake form. This may be used by your Max Health practitioner to access reports such as X-Ray or MRI.
Do I need a doctor’s referral to attend treatment at Max Health Institute & Physiotherapy Fredericton?
No, you do not need a doctor’s referral to receive care at Max Health Fredericton; however, this may be required by your private/group insurance.
We strongly encourage you to familiarize yourself with your extended healthcare coverage and the requirements of your policy prior to booking your appointment.
Does private/group insurance cover ALL the multi-disciplinary services offered at Max Health Fredericton?
Generally, most of the services at Max Health Institute & Physiotherapy Fredericton are covered through private/group insurance policies; however, every policy is different! It is best to familiarize yourself with your extended healthcare policy prior to booking any appointments.
Can you direct bill to my private/group insurance plan?
Both of our Max Health Fredericton clinics are setup for direct billing online with most insurance companies, but whether we can direct bill online or not depends on your policy.
If we are able to direct bill online, you will only be responsible to pay the co-pay, if applicable. In the event that your policy does not cover our services or that we are not able to direct bill online, you will be responsible to pay in full when services are rendered and submit to your policy by way of paper claim. If requested, we can also provide yearly account statements for income tax purposes.
It is recommended that you be prepared to pay in full for your services in the event that your policy does not allow us to direct bill online for your treatment.
